When half the members of a band have spent a decade in a blues folk outfit and the other half have spent even longer in a progressive metal act, you get what we call Blue Goat.
At first finding a direction for players with such diverse backgrounds took a lot of patience, nurturing and experimentation. A give and take approach was defiantly in order. Eventually we all became the proud parents of a unique, yet enjoyable catalog of songs. We discovered that in order to incorporate everyone’s talents and ideas we would have to do more than just play shows, we would have to produce them as well. Our ambitions to deliver high quality live experiences to the public have attracted the support of various local talents. For the past year the Blue Goat team has utilized handmade props and costumes, video and puppetry to ensure our productions were satisfying for any audience. Our only mission now is to continuously out do ourselves.
